Conversation

Starting with a huff of exasperation
following a door slam
via a chain reaction
trying to get the best of,
you think it never will
but have a build up of it,
soon you'll know your infected
putting up a brick, brick wall to protect your rythmic drum
from every exscrutiating incision being thrown at you
there's an illusion
just then at that moment you know... you've acknowledged
that this ...is now a battle
your conscious, but not
adding and multiplying the enticing agony
subtracting and dividing the affectionate affection
she once had.
Next the melodic beat is in containment...

- i have no clue what to add next..
-and need a better title

my play

Nella
[Nella said in dismay]
I can’t believe it.
IMANI
[Trying to comfort her the best way possible]
What, Nella its okay there will be other snow days.

NELLA
But because of her I can’t have fun.
SWEETIE
When we come back we’ll have fun, I promise.
NELLA
Stacy, Imani lets just go to the nail shop while Sweetie is doing Rosie’s hair.
ROSIE
Make sure y’all come back quickly.
IMANI
And you finish her hair so that by the time we come back, you can do mine.

[And just like that Nella, Stacy, and Imani go out the door to the nail shop leaving Sweetie and Rosie in the home all by themselves]

NELLA
Can you believe that chick put her hands on me?
IMANI
Well she must not know you Nella.
[Adding to the enticing conversation Stacy adds]
STACY
Yea and she definitely don’t know who Nella’s friends are.

NELLA
But I can’t go to snow daze because of her.

STACY
But Nella, the best thing to do is act like you the bigger person, the mature one.

[Entering back into the house delighted with her nails looking primped she announces the arrival of the rest of the clique; only to be given the 3rd degree by sweetie who’s evidently pissed.]

IMANI
Where here!!!
SWEETIE
Y’all took so much I’m already done with Rosie’s hair, so Imani just park your kester.

IMANI
[She replies in a smart and inevitable rude manner]
You just, finish my hair and please don’t get on us.

ROSIE
[In the laziest way she expresses herself by saying:]
Man its 9:00, the gate closes at 10:30.

IMANI
Rosie do you have your student ID?
ROSIE
[She repeats the question back to her sister in a be waffled way]
Oh my gosh Stacy can you please drive me to my house to get my ID?

IMANI
Oh and can you get my to because I…
ROSIE
-You forgot yours too?
IMANI
[She replies yes with a sheepish smile, at this time the whole house is running around in mayhem trying to get them together before 10:30]

Sweetie go get ready, when you’re done you could do the finishing touches on my hair when you’re done.

SWEETIE [Rambling throughout Nella’s room looking for her golden shoe strap throwing any and everything around the room, turning it into a catastrophic scene]

UGH! I can’t find my shoe strap!

IMANI
Nella go help her find her shoe strap, while Rosie finishes my hair.

NELLA
[Nella attempts to find this golden shoe strap after two minutes and continues on with the conversation with her and her boyfriend]

Sweetie I can’t find it.

SWEETIE
[Sweetie shouts back in disbelief]
You didn’t even try to look for it, cuz you to busy talking to Brian!

[Just then Rosie and Stacy come flying through the door]

ROSIE

We’re back!
It’s already 10:15, Imani get ready quickly.

STACY
I forgot my shoes at home.

NELLA
[Finally trying to be helpful suggests.]
Just wear my silver ones, you too Sweetie!

ROSIE
Get in the car lets go!!

STACY
[Running as fast as they can to the door before it closes before their very eyes.]
Run quickly the doors about to close.

IMANI
[Just before they get there it’s locked only to be defeated]

All that work for nothing?
[All three beautiful dressed girls hop back into their car only to return to Nella’s house to show their mission had not been accomplished.]

NELLA
[In nothing but laughter Nella tries to ask what happened]
Oh my gosh, this is too hilarious, that’s what you get for trying to have fun without me.

If You Don't Risk Anything You Risk More!

IF YOU DON'T RISK ANYTHING YOU RISK MORE, YOU RISK THE FACT OF NEVER KNOWING THE RESPONSE TO THE INTENDED QUESTION YOU WANTED TO ASK HER . IF YOU DON'T RISK ANYTHING YOU RISK MORE, YOU RISK THE FEELING OF NEVER KNOWING HOW IT WOULD BE LIKE TO ONE DAY LET YOURSELF GO AND BE FREE. IF YOU DON'T RISK ANYTHING YOU RISK MORE, YOU RISK THE LOST OF A NEW FRIEND YOU COULD OF HAD, BUT YOU LET YOUR PRIDE AND FEAR OF REJECTION GET TO YOU.
THINGS YOU COULD HAVE,AND SHOULD HAVE,YOU DON'T HAVE ONLY BECAUSE YOU WOULDN'T RISK MORE.

My Ideal Place

My ideal place can be anywhere from a loft in New York to a beach house in California or maybe the beautiful tropic island of Trinidad to be specific. In this ideal place the pungent aroma is mango breeze. The living room is this chic slick all white and sliver decor . It's very spic and span it's as is no one has been there . The satin pillows that lie in the couch is as cool as metal but soft. The bathroom is like a mixture of MAC and BATH AND BODY WORKS. There's body wash and lotion of every color, flavor, and design......
